The team of the Department of Oncological Surgery consists of specialists in oncological surgery, reconstructive surgery, general surgery. In the Ward, treatment is undertaken in accordance with the disease's progress and modern knowledge. Surgical treatment covers a wide spectrum of tumour procedures, mainly concerning organs:

- breasts

- stomach

- large intestine

- thyroidists

- and others

We perform the following treatments: breast-saving, classic modified mastectomy, skin-saving mastectomy, biopsy of the guard node.

The Ward deals with minimally invasive-laparoscopic surgery of the gastrointestinal tract, especially colorectal cancer. We use the latest quality laparoscopic equipment and staplers (mechanical sutures). We have the latest diagnostic techniques in the diagnosis of gastrointestinal and nipple cancer. We also have the equipment to perform coarse and fine needle biopsy in cancer diagnostics, including stereotactic biopsy (ABBI) in breast cancer. Patients operated in the Ward are also able to carry out further complementary treatment - chemotherapy in the Clinical Oncology Ward of the European Health Centre Otwock, and also remain under the direct care of cardiologists in cases of cardiac burden resulting from the applied oncological therapies, as well as the occurrence of primary diseases.
